Hello from Coach Joe
Agreeing to volunteer as a coach for my son's under 5's football team is one of the best decisions I have ever made. Now a fully qualified FA coach and proud manager of an under 8 team, I have loved every second of the journey. Seeing the players progress and develop, both on and off the pitch, is fantastic. Seeing them smile, have fun, and knit together so strongly is even better. Kindness, respect, and sportsmanship underpin everything our team stands for.

Prior to setting up Coach Joe's I worked as a Sales Consultant for a high-end travel company. After 20 years of being metaphorically chained to a desk in the corporate world, I finally accepted that having a stand-up desk wasn't enough 'movement' for my active body and mind. I love to play and have boundless energy that is far better used motivating children than selling holidays!

Recognising and realising that working with children feeds my soul and gives me energy and focus led to the decision to start Coach Joe's. I understand that learning through sport, play and movement is a vital part of every child's development. I know that acquiring new skills, being challenged, encouraged and supported makes a huge, lifelong difference. I have seen those smiles. I have watched on with joy in my heart as young children congratulate each other on their highs, and support each other through their lows.

My goal through Coach Joe's is to provide high-quality, fun, safe, positive and creative sports coaching, childcare, and holiday clubs for 5-11 year olds. I enrich young minds through movement. I will help them learn to win and lose, gain new skills, learn to compete fairly and with respect. I will build confidence, and help channel energy in a positive way. I will get to know each child, what makes them tick, and help them to flourish.

Along the way we will smile, fist bump, high five, and have a whole lot of fun.
