Alternative provision Witney
Coach Joe's alternative provision focuses on building confidence through low-demand, child-led interactions.
There is no 'one size fits all' approach here. I will really get to know your child, find out what makes them tick, and encourage them at every step of the way.
I love to play and I love to be outside. I believe strongly in learning through play and the huge, proven benefits of fresh air. Where possible we will aim to be outside, trying different sports, going for a walk or bike ride, or exploring the woods building dens and learning about birds and plants etc.
I am also very happy to do home visits and draw or craft, or play board or computer games, for example.

Football coaching
The most popular sport on the planet and for good reason. Football is a very important skill for kids to have in their lockers. It also teaches valuable
life skills. Our sessions involve skills, drills, small games, challenges. Lots of fun. Teamwork is important but so is individual brilliance and creativity. If we unearth the next Lionel Messi in Witney that would be epic! Group and 1:1 sessions available.

Skateboard coaching
Through my very good friends at Broken Boards I coach skateboarding to individuals and small groups. I specialise in coaching beginners but can also cover intermediate riders looking to develop beyond the beginner phase. I have ridden a skateboard for about forty years and it has taught me an awful lot of life skills (perseverance, tenacity, patience) along the way. A brilliant sport for anyone with ADHD, incidentally.

Home-ed PE
PE is a vital part of a child's education. Coach Joe's PE sessions for home educated kids deliver the perfect blend of learning and fun and are a great way to interact with others. We won't follow the curriculum rigidly (if at all) but will make sure, through a variety of games, sports and physical challenges, that all key areas are covered such as agility, balance and coordination. We have a fun weekly session on Wednesdays in Long Hanborough.

Multi-sports and athletics
Coach Joe's multi-sports sessions focus on the key movements of throwing, jumping, running, connecting with a ball and also improve balance, hand-eye coordination, as well as promoting teamwork and sportsmanship. Games include tag rugby, rounders, badminton, handball, basketball, athletics and cricket. Highly varied sessions designed to improve a range of core skills.
