Sports coaching
Sport is fun and particularly for younger sports people shouldn’t be overly competitive. My coaching style is gentle, friendly, patient, and built on a platform of trust. All participants are treated as individuals whose strengths and efforts are recognised and praised. I believe wholeheartedly in sharing successes and the power of kindness. I want to build skills and confidence and see lots of smiles! Most of my coaching is delivered via group sessions but I am very happy to provide private coaching for football, multisports and athletics - feel free to reach out via the contact page if you are interested in this option or have any questions at all. All of my coaching sessions are inclusive and for everyone so please come and join the fun!

Football coaching
The most popular sport on the planet and for good reason. Football is a very important skill for kids to have in their lockers. It also teaches valuable
life skills. Our sessions involve skills, drills, small games, challenges. Lots of fun. Teamwork is important but so is individual brilliance and creativity. If we unearth the next Lionel Messi in Witney that would be epic! Group and 1:1 sessions available.

Skateboard coaching
I coach skateboarding to individuals and small groups. I specialise in coaching beginners but can also cover intermediate riders looking to develop beyond the beginner phase. I have ridden a skateboard for about forty years and it has taught me an awful lot of life skills (perseverance, tenacity, patience) along the way. A brilliant sport for anyone with ADHD, incidentally.

Home-ed PE
PE is a vital part of a child's education. Coach Joe's PE sessions for home educated kids deliver the perfect blend of learning and fun and are a great way to interact with others. We won't follow the curriculum rigidly (if at all) but will make sure, through a variety of games, sports and physical challenges, that all key areas are covered such as agility, balance and coordination. We have a fun weekly session on Wednesdays in Long Hanborough.

Multi-sports and athletics
Coach Joe's multi-sports sessions focus on the key movements of throwing, jumping, running, connecting with a ball and also improve balance, hand-eye coordination, as well as promoting teamwork and sportsmanship. Games include tag rugby, rounders, badminton, handball, basketball, athletics and cricket. Highly varied sessions designed to improve a range of core skills.
